Crane Setup
- Park and level base of crane or slider (allow for full extension and retraction)
- Mount Remote Head on crane
- Mount Camera Rig on Remote Head
- Mount remote follow focus and all connections to camera
- With full load, balance crane fully extended and retracted
- Level crane post
- Level crane arm
- Level crane arm using digital level
- Zero encoders for crane arm elevation and swing
- Align remote head and zero for pan and tilt
- Setup Total Station to camera-right of crane
- Level and start up Total Station
- Start as “New Job” in SurvCE
- Set minimum setup and pink crane post as Backsight
- With crane fully retracted, ping:
- Boom Pivot,
- Mitchell Pivot, and
- Remote Head Pivot
- With crane fully extended:
- Remote Head Pivot
- Measure camera sensor offsets in relation to “Remote Head Pivot”
- Input camera sensor offsets into Previzion “Camera Sensor Offset” Configuration Pane
- Input pinged coordinated into Previzion “Crane Survey” Configuration Pane
- Verify Crane Model Pan, Tilt, Swing, Elevate and Extension
- Save System State
- Setup Total Station in line-of-sight of LIDAR markers
- Resection into LIDAR coordinated and heading
- Lock crane and camera
- Position Golf Tees or Sand Ts as survey markers within field-of-view of camera
- Ping Remote Head Pivot
- Pink markers
- Input survey markers into Previzion
- Input pined pivot into Previzion and set pan offset
- Unlock crane and camera to verify tracking
- Save System State
